Wow they do look good, I was skeptical about the price originally but if what you guys are saying is true they look awesome and they should function well. Thanks for the post!

Bought mine on Saturday and have to wait until the "special tool" gets out to me in PA from CA. Seem ok but I've already damaged my sheet metal to drill the hole size the instructions call for ?. Called Body Armor this AM to get the tool shipped and the rep stated they are doing away with the plate design against the body.

Really nice. Love the look!

Help out a novice please guys. Can you tell me why my stock running boards are not as effective at protection than the side guards you are referring to? Don't mean to sound like a wuss but I am not too psyched about drilling into the side of the jeep to put something like this on.

Thanks for the info.

Your plastic running boards will most certainly crack under any moderate stress (I.e rocks, logs, etc). When climbing and your front wheel clears the obstacle, your side steps will land on the object you were climbing causing them to crack.

Steel steps on the other and can take that same beating without losing heir structural integrity, thus saving the body of your jeep.

im not a fan of tubular as far as protection goes. sure its better than stock but not as strong as others. if your not going to be doing much rock climbing than no biggie. i wheel in NC and VA so we tend to find some rocks to climb. currently im running JCR OFFROAD STAGE 2 ROCKSLIDERS. super durable and look badass. pretty heavy though

No worries. Are those Truck lite headlights in your jeep? If so, how do you like them?

Yes they are Truck-Lite LED's and I friggen love them. I drive 35 min to work each way, and now that we are on daylight savings time all of that on the way home is in the dark. I cannot say enough good things about them.

I put some LED fogs in just to get rid of the ugly yellow light coming from them.

Still want one of those cool light bars though!

I'm in the same boat. I don't want to drill either. The main options that keep popping up are ACE sliders which tons of members swear by, smittybilt src sliders/steps which tons of members swear at when installing but like when they're on, and the body armor sliders that I originally posted questions about which there is less info on but the feedback I find seems positive.
