Default Body Armor bumper

Looking into replacing my front bumper and found the body armor one extremely affordable. Trying to find out some info. on it and see the build quality is.

While I have not used the body armor bumper I have used their roof rack and the quality and looks and price were nice. My biggest complaint was that the powder coating they use is horrible and chips off very fast and will rust in those spots. Also the hardware that came with the roof rack was cheap but did its job. Bottom line is I like the product just not the powder coating. As with everything in the jeep world you get what you pay for.

I have been running Body Armor bumpers for a few years. No issues whatsoever. I don't run the tire carrier rear because I wanted the bomb proof OR-FAB carrier instead.

I just bought one I love it. It's extremely heavy though which can be good and bad. The powder coat is identical to smittybilt so it matches those products good.

The front bumper is extremely heavy or the rear?

I have this bumper and would not recommend it. The powder coat is horrible and I went through 4 sets of bearings in 18mnths. I cut the swing arm post off and switched to a genright aluminum carrier that works amazingly and shaved 55lbs from the rear.

Ya i agree. I wouldnt run the tire carrier version. I heard of powdercoat issues so i sprayed it with bedliner. Otherwise i love it. Low profile and light.

I have the rear bumper only. I don't see how you could have a problem with the bearing unless you don't know how to properly pack them. It uses wheel bearing. If you just rub grease on them like most people do then yeah they will fail after a few weeks. I can stand on my tire carrier and have almost zero deflection. You must also use a high quality marine grade grease.
