Body lift help!!!
I think the the 2 mounts that the 2 door does not have are the 2 mounts near the rear shocks on the cross member, but I could be wrong. I just got my body lift today but I won't be installing it until this weekend. When I ordered it from Quadratec, they told me the same kit is for 2dr and 4dr, and I have 12 pucks in mine. I would think that the 4dr has 2 more than the 2dr, and I was just under my Jeep (2dr) this afternoon and did not see any mounts on the rear crossmember.
hay i love my daystar lift everyone sais it takes longer then the more but you dont have to knock the washers off with the daystar. There are 5 per side on the 2 door I have the same setup. One up front two by the rock rails on either side one above the rear tire and one by the rear bumper. Go by the one by the rear bumper and then go under another foot and bingo!

EDIT: I also sput the JKs around to have the front facing the top, forgot about the Engineering Drawings standard 101 stuff

. The rear/above axle cross-member (2) body mounts do NOT exist on his or the other peron he contacted. There are holes there but no mounts. Jvalson bought his JK new so nobody else had it, modified and put it back to stock, as he stated it lifted right off with the existing 8 body mounts. There should be 10 on the 2-drs and I recommended to him that he purchase (somehow, here or Jeep parts) the two body mounts/hardware and his spacers and install them for better weight distribution. Personally I think Chrysler decided to cut corners/cost and decided "ehh we don't need these two". That would be two less points of weight distribution that I personally believe are useful to have especially when you do a body lift and raise the center or gravity.
I installed my body lift last night and after hours of searching the rear section of the jeep frame (before and after lifting the body off the frame) I was only able to locate 8 total body mounts. The body lifted off the frame easily with no resistance. The two mount locations that are in question are on the rear cross member in between the the spring and shock. Here is a perfect picture of the location: http://www.project-jk.com/wp-gallery...2_itemId=74882 My jk is new so it was not removed by a prior owner. Another member (wrnglrguy) looked under their 08 jk 2door and there were not any in this location as well (there are holes there but nothing in them). If you have a 2008 2door jk can you look under in to see if you have body mounts on the cross member?
ALSO many thinks to SASQUATCH for taking his time to make a mount location picture.

Well it looks fair to say 08 2doors have 8 body mounts and 07 2doors have 10. Thanks for posting 44magjeeper! I took picture on my phone ill post when I'm out of work...there isn't even 2 bolt holes where the mount should be on the cross member.
i looked today to see if there was any holes for the mounts on the cross member and i dont have any there either, i just looked at the parts manual for an 08, and they show only 8 mounts for the 2 door and 10 for the 4 door, mayby some 08 4 door guys can chime in on that
