Default Body lift question

I have a suspension lift already but I want a little bit more height. How hard is it to put a body lift on a jk? My buddy said I need a lift to do it. Is that true?

A floor jack with a 2x4 will work fine. Unbolt all the mounts on one side, position the jack/2x4 and lift it enough to get the mounts out. (jack stands would be a good idea here if you have them). Follow the directions for adding the spacers, then repeat on the other side.

4 floor jacks and a jackstand with a 2x4 block.... 2 stands will work, but much easier if entire jeep is off the ground.... As for install, 2-3 hours of your time....

I did mine in a little over an hour with a floor jack and some scrap 2x4 pieces. It was really a lot easier than I expected.

I did it in the driveway by myself with nothing more than a handful of tools, a hydraulic jack, and a short 2x4. Took about 2 hours......easy

Take a look here for basic install instructions. Every kit is a little different, but they all install pretty much the same

I installed the RC kit in about 2 hours. Came with good instructions and I'm no handyman. Used a floor jack and a couple of 2x4s. Not hard to do at all.

You use it to dispurse the upward pressure from the jack so it is even against the body. You wouldn't want to put the jack directly against the body or you could damage it. So you put the 2x4 under the rocker panel and then the jack against the 2x4.

The quick and diry is.....
Unbolt all the body mounts
Jack the body up on one side about 2"
Add the pucks to that side and then let the jack back down
Jack the body up on the other side about 2"
Add the pucks to the 2nd side and then let the jack back down
Go back and torque all of the body mounts

Have a beer
