Question Body in my wheel wells

I got my JK on a 4" lift and put on xenon flat fenders i want to bring my tire size up from a 34" but i have the corners of my body sticking out into my now larger wheel wells. Before I get retarded with my sawzal and grinder, can i remove the full corner without causing any damage to the structure or only a small bit?

The infamous "tire shredder", I just used a Dremel to grind off the corner and round it off.

Yeah, I am not just talking about the tacked pieces at the end im talkin the whole section of body sticking out into my wheel well. Today I talked to my buddy who is a welder and we are going to remove the whole section of the body sticking out and weld new plates into the sections I remove.
