Default Bolt Pattern for larger tires

With a number of people running 37" plus tires and 60 axles why run only a 5x5.5 pattern. With that much weight wouldn't a 6 lug or 8 lug make more sense? Is there just not a problem with lug failure?

I think Moby has 20" rims on 40" tires with a 5x5.5 and is wheeled pretty frequently I just can not believe that has not been an issue.

Any thoughts?

I've been saving my nickels for D60s with an 8x6.5 bolt pattern. Opens up a large variety of wheels and there have been more than a few lug failures out there on 5x5s and 5x5.5s. Easy to get that package put together from any of the major sources for JK axles, and best of all for me it affords me flexibility with my Dodge Ram.
