Borla XR-1 Long Tube Headers
Long tubes can and do increase low and midrange torque whet the tune diameter is properly sized along with collector length. The SLP longtubes on my Cobra gave me 28 rwhp and over 30lbs of tq in the low end, while high end torque, over 5k rpm, stayed about the same. We really need a more tuneable platform to tune with, like Diablosport or SCT, along with a wideband O2 sensor, then thses power mods we do will have more of a performance gain since we'd be able to chnage tune paramters accordingly.
nothing i would pay for, however...
something that hasn't been mentioned is the testpipe that is included in the system. Other headers systems utilize the stock testpipe. This is a well rounded kit that has been thought out. no other kits out there have a full setup like this. the stock test pipe imho is a ridiculous restriction. the crimps and kinks kill performance. If you see what is included in the kit, the kit is priced very well.
it's nothing i would spend money on because of how much an unlimited weighs. After you have 35" or larger tires, bigger wheels, steel front and rear bumpers, a winch, heavy duty suspension lifts, etc, etc, etc. The damn thing weighs as much as a 4dr 1/2 ton pickup, which is normally equipped with a V8. That's $1K that is better saved toward a S/C or Hemi. just my 2 cents.
