Default Bottle jacks.

With 35s, the stock scissor jack doesn't cut it. I'm deciding on a new jack to buy and I'm thinking of grabbing a 6 ton bottle jack.

My question is, what is everyone using as a lift point for their bottle jacks? I know it's on the axel, but with a head the size of a quarter, I'm worrying about the stability of a bottle jack on a round surface.

And I know someone is going to suggest off road swag's bottle jack adapter, which is pretty cool, but I want to know about off the shelf bottle jacks.

Another option is AEVs jack base and keep your scissor jack. That's what I use and it works great.

I looked into that, but I heard of people bending their stock scissor jacks.

I figured you can't go wrong with a bottle jack.

I use the bottle jack in the same spots I used the scissors jack. I don't remove the wheels or go under the jeep until there are some jackstands under it. I still haven't had to use the bottle jack on the trail though.

As I said in my original post the off road swag adapter is cool, but I'm thinking about a stock bottle jack.

I got one, but with extended sway bar end links I have to lift the front bumper way too much to get the axels to lift off the ground.

I carry a hi lift, lift mate (LM-100) and jack stand in my jeep. To change a tire I would use the hi lift and lift mate to lift the tire needing replacement, slide jack stand under axle, lower axle onto jack stand then change the tire.

I feel this is safer b/c you are lifting by the axle so you don't have to lift the entire jeep nearly as high b/c you aren't fighting the axle droop. This would be especially true off-road if you had your sway bars disconnected.
