brainstorm with me...
Ok so i have the fab skills but not the money once i get my tires(damn economy!) So i was thinking of how to get the most flex out of a short arm kit. I'm currently running tube fenders up front and making rear ones now. I also have a 1" body lift. So i have around 3-4" extra clearance in the wheel wells. The problem is i'll never utilize that if i install the bump stops that come with the lift, and if i don't i'll over compress the springs and they'll be toast. So my thought was why not raise the spring perches 2" and run a 6" spring? I'd be able to stuff my tires a few extra inches and still only have a 4" lift. I'd have to capture the coils and measure for a custom shock but i'm sure it'll still cost half that of a long arm kit. Any thoughts or other ideas? Thanks!

Only problem i see is that when you stuff your tires there going to hit the steel wheel wells and unless you start tubbing your jeep your not going to get that far.

When i stuff more than this I rubb the already hammered over pinch seams and after that comes the wheel wells them selves.. 2.5BB with stock bump stops only.
