Brake Help
So i was driving around tn, it was drizziling so the roads were a lil wet, but my abs was turning on at every stop i decided to take a look and the pads look real low alsmost non exsistent. The pads and rotors are orig from 2008 and teh car now has 31 K on it. What is everyone opinion on brakes and rotors. I used to run cross drilled slotted on all my old cars but im new to the jeep world. I would like to get the general consensus on what everyone on here is running. Im torn between replacing with OEM, cross drilled/ slotted, just slotted, just cross drilled, or slotted and dimpled. I do offraod about once a month. Its a 08 2DR Auto X. All insight advice and such would help.

On cars, slotted drilled rotors decrease unsprung weight and increase cooling. But everything has a trade off. Cars have less mass and a lower center of gravity. JKs are a thousand pounds heavier and a center of gravity eye level to many cars. Longevity of slotted drilled stock sized rotors is the trade off. Throw in mud and sand that can collect in those cavities...
Like your tag- line.
Don't get crossed drilled or slotted rotors. Mud gets in there and destroys the pads. If you want to get a more expensive set of plan Jane rotors thats up to you. The real improvement I found came in high quality brake pads
