Default Brand New JK XS 4 Door Now What?

Just sold 1978 jeep cj5 I had for over 7 years.

09 Sunburst orange with auto, 3.73 and 17's and stock tires... 320 miles on it... sitting in my garage...wooo hoo

for the past 4 days I have been reading about lifts until my eyes are bleeding and my head is spinning

Bottom line 80% on the road 20% trails and the NC beaches.

No plans for bumpers or winches...

Ride quality is very important and not having to jack or mess with anything else besides getting it aligned after lift is what I'm looking for.

Don't want any car dealer warranty issues... basically keep it simple stupid.

Tires will be 35 bfg kms2 (take that into consideration on the rear spare)

Choices are....

OME 2 inch -> 4 shocks with heavy front and medium rear

or

TF 2.5 -> coils with shocks and everything in the package

Help me make the call... David from Northridge pointed towards ome springs and shocks and said that's all I will need... nothing else... nada.

anyone want to sell me against ome? anything else this keep it simple stupid lift needs?

I'm placing the order in the morning for either the OME or TF..

I have stock 3.73 gears. How much power will I lose with 35's? really that bad or not really... I know I know it depends on what you need... just humor me.

greenamphibious... Looks good. track bar does not come with the (full TF 2.5 coil kit) would I need that as well?

I have the OME lift and love it. I wouldn't hesitate with the TF lift either. Both should give you a nice ride.

river2c I notice that you have changed front track bar and lower control arms.... this is where I get confused. Can I be good to go as in perfect with just the coils and the shocks without changing everything else... all the other add ons?

Like you, I spend most of my time on the street except for weekends, hunting, etc. I have been well served by the terraflex 2.5" BB. Easy install and keeps factory springs for ride quality.
