Default Broken Sector Shaft

Hello All,

So this happened to my friends TJ, not my JK, while we were out this weekend.

On our way back from the trails, he was rounding a curve at about 20mph and suddenly lost all steering. This caused him to head straight into a guardrail. He is okay and doing fine.

I looked under the front of his rig and noticed the pitman arm hanging there attached to the draglink, with the end of the sector shaft attached. The sector shaft end had broken off.

I can fix lots of things on the trail, but this was beyond me. A nearby friend had a trailer and we got him back home.

Is there a trail fix for this, short of a new steering box/shaft, which few people would every bring on a run, if anybody.

Thanks,

Dale
