Hello all,

As our fantastic economy plumits I have decided To go with a budget front end setup.

I have purchased a superwinch LP8500 and a pulley just incase.

Also on order is a rough country hybrid stubby front end.

Has anyone ran this setup or know anyone who has?? My buddy has 06 rubi with the LP and swears by it so hopefully everyone shares the thought.

Your input is appreciated. Cheers

Try the hidden behind the stock bumper mod. I think it looks great. Politics suck & so do people that don't understand sarcasm.

I know I just wanted to get right back at you lol you guys didn't get the Sarcasm back

Anyway that super winch is a nice winch my buddy pulled out a excursion with it and it is still working fine.
I also am a fan of the lower end winches, nothing wrong with them, I can't afford a warn zeon so I bought an engo with lifetime warranty

Here is what I did.

Smittybilt XRC10 mounted on an Olympic winch mount buried behind the factory bumper that I chopped and VDPed.

that setup looks awesome (for the price) where did you get the mount?

that should work with a powerplant 9.5 i'd think right?

Here is a pic on their website with a Warn on it.

507 - Winch Mount | Olympic 4X4 Products for over 60 years

It was a little more expensive than some of the simpler winch plates but required less fabrication. I just bolted it in.

You also are not able to mount the factory fogs, I got PIAA 530 LED's in there place.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I have a Mile Marker Scout ES on the Rough Country Hybrid Stubby. I've only had it for a little while, so nothing has been abused yet, but I'm happy with both at this point.

That looks really nice man thanks for the pic.. I'm just shy of 3 weeks till my delivery date for the bumper.

I'm hoping my winch will cut the mustard. As I said above my buddy has same one on his 06 rubi and he's pulled me out of my fair share of jams including the most recent 4 foot deep portage mud with some heavy suction. No issues or struggles.

If you happen to get a chance to abuse before I do please update me let me know what you think

Cheers
Matt
