Default Bug guard/ deflector that actually works??

I didn't know where else to put this, so sorry if you have to move it, Admins. But I'm tired of scraping dead crusty bugs off my windshield. Do those bug guards that attach to the hood really work? I'm a little leery of putting one on b/c I don't want to mess up the finish on the edge of my hood. I was liking the bushwacker hood guard, but I don't think it's a bug deflector.

I've never owned one that worked for keeping bugs off the windshield. They do protect the front edge of the hood from stonechips, dents, etc. but that's it.

I bought a rugged ridge off of eBay cheap,, I don't think it's worth it... I still have bugs on my windshield, but I guess it does cover the front corner of your jeep from rocks and stuff.....

I have the AVS bug guard on mine.. Put it on when the Jeep was about a week old.. I still gets bugs all over my windshield, but I think it looks pretty good.. The functionality overall is not that good.. Unless you like the way it looks, then don't even bother.. Just my .02.

Sigman - Nice looking Rig.

I really like the look of the deflectors on Jeeps.

Lone Wolf 87 - I say install it and invest in some Windex.

While the deflectors do add a nice touch- for bugs works on the bees and flies but not small bugs and skeeters. (at least on my other rig). You think it has something to do with the angle of the windshield?

Sorry for the hijack. Sigman- what type of snorkel is that? I like that it doesn't go over the fenders.

It does help. But nothing works on these steep windscreens.

But now the "Vintvisors".

Thanks for all the pics and input guys. I figured they wouldn't work too great b/c the way our windshield is angled... or not angled haha.

What do the window visors (vintvisors??) do?

Agreed. Sigman, that's an awesome JKU. What is that snorkel?

[QUOTE= What is that snorkel?[/QUOTE]

I think that's a River Raider snorkle but I could be wrong.
