Allow you to crack the window when it is raining or extremely hot without the fear of rain getting in and with less chance of someone noticing the window cracked and trying to get it.

Ah I see. I might just end up waiting for Rugged Ridge's snorkel to come out. Haha obviously I'm a huge fan of their products.

I think I'm gonna have to invest in a pair of those window visors. I'm a little confused. What's the difference between the ones that are in-channel and not?

Agreed. Sigman, that's an awesome JKU. What is that snorkel?
I also have the AVS window ventguards.. Those actually work well.. When its raining or you don't feel like having the window open and hearing a ton of noise, they're great.

Weatherguard bug strip on mine-- 2weeks after I got the Rubicon as a rock came flying up and tagged a dead bug (one of about a 1000) on the windshield.....

Cant say it does A-LOT but ain't had anymore stones.........YMMV.

LOVE the ventvisors as you can open the window without the howl. About the only thing that sux about them is even though they're clear/smoke colored they're RIGHT in my line of vision when scounting areas to hunt and needing to look out AND UP.... but small price to pay of 2weeks of hassle for less highway noise.......

You want to get the in-channel. The other ones tape to the outside and will not last as long. I've owned both on Dodge trucks and will never buy another outside one.

Thanks for steering me in the right direction! I was trying to figure out which one to order and almost ordered the ones that mounted to the outside.

Have yet to find one that works.

I use Rain-X a lot and it does make removing them much easier! Rain-X takes some work (multiple applications - I think two or three) the first time you put it on, but once it's on, it not only makes bug removal easy, it keeps your windshield rather free of water, even in the heaviest of downpours.

When I need to remove the bugs, it just takes Windex and paper towers; no hard rubbing.

I had the inside channel ones .... One day CRACK sound it was a little cold and the power window cracked a nice chunk out of the plastic protector.... I returned them got the outside ones..... If they ever come off(2yrs still on) just use some 3M tape and stick them back on.
