The Build Begins
Phase I of the build is currently in process. I am starting with a 2009 JK Rubicon Unlimited. While i haven't yet ironed out the future build plans yet, i think the initial phase creates a solid foundation...

The initial parts list is as follows:
Off Road Evolution Coil Over kit with 14" King coil overs
Off Road Evolution Plush Ride Springs in the rear with King Reservoir Shocks
5:13 gears
EVO C-Gussets
EVO Axle Sleeves
JE Reel Drive shafts front and rear
Off Road Evolution front lower adjustable control arms
Off Road Evolution rear upper adjustable control arms
Teraflex HD frame brace and drag link flip kit
Teraflex Monster Track Bar
Walker Evans Streetlock Wheels
Goodyear MT/R with Kevlar 37X12.5X17
AEV ProCal
Phase II will likely focus on body armor, bumpers and a winch , any recommendations on where to go next??? I am currently looking at the LOD Signature Series Shorty with Stinger and the LOD Signature Series Rear bumper / Gen 2 Tire Carrier (have not decided on full width or shorty) and the WARN HP Powerplant...
I am interested in feedback from anybody running a similiar setup. The Jeep is my daily driver so street manners were definitely a consideration when trying to work out what phase I was going to look like. My intent was to focus on the suspension while trying to address the weak links that i could and not completely breaking the bank (though i think i failed on that one...).
With the procal, is anybody returning the ECU back to stock parameters before having it serviced or can the changes made to the ECU be reprogrammed in the event the ECU is reprogrammed at the dealer?
I'll update with pics from the build as soon as i can...

Couple of things I would do differently.
Pro Rock 44 instead of sleeves and gussets. If you can sell your stock axle housing for a decent price it won't cost you any more to get the Pro Rock 44, than to pay someone to weld all those gussets and sleeves in place.
Chromolly shafts.
5.38 gears, ESPECIALLY with 37" tires.
The rest of your plans sound good. I'll be watching for pictures.

I was really considering the Pro Rock 44 housing. In fact, i still intend to go that way but i am going to wait until i can get one with the correct castor/pinion angle for my application (and for my pocket book to recover). I could not see spending 2k for a housing that was set to factory specs . With a long lead time on a custom housing, i decided the cheap insurance of sleeves/gussets for now was sufficient but we'll see. Hopefully i'll still be able to sell the stock front housing when the time comes to offset some of the cost...
I had a number of conversations with both Dynatrac and Off Road Evolution before ultimately making this decision and cannot say enough about their customer service. Very knowledgeable and very responsive!!!
I chose 5.13:1 gears to try and get back to stock RPMs in 6th gear but after crunching the same numbers for the 5.38s, those don't look like a bad option either...
Anybody running 5.13:1 with 37s regret not going lower?
Thanks for the feedback, hopefully i'll have pics to post sometime next week...
