So far, nobody has mentioned the ProRock 44 Unlimited housing, which will accept all the factory internals and factory Rubicon locker, as well as an ARB locker if you are building from scratch. This is a more affordable option for those that want a stronger option than the factory without buying a pre built axle assembly.

Not everyone needs a D60, and if you are honest with how you intend to use your rig, this is a great option.

The unlimited housing simply has castor correction nothing else is different then the standard pro rock 44 housing. You also have to either choose the ARB or the factory e locker. They are not interchangeable. When you get done swapping the parts over you still have an axle with weak unit bearing, factory brakes, and weak shafts. Upgrade that stuff and you are pushing 60 territory.

I do find it interesting when folks talk about the cost of a 60 vs an aftermarket 44, nothing ever gets mentioned about all the other things that have to be done for the 60.

When you add in the cost of arms, steering, wheels, driveshaft, etc., that "costs the same as a 60" price just is not the same.

Must compare all that is required to make each axle work in my opinion.

Have fun out there.

I think, for me, that's what makes that Fusion hybrid so interesting. At least for the front. The rear would still be a challenge to keep all the extra stuff stock if trying to go full float. It may not even be possible.

This is what I did and love it. I mainly did for what Dirtman had stated..... caster correction. 3.5" lift and zero vibration and cruises 90-95 mph on freeway straight as an arrow !!

For the time being, I'm just a casual observer in these discussions trying to pick up what I can along the way, but currently I keep finding myself gravitating towards the Fusion JK 10.5 full float since it seems like one of the better price to performance axles for whenever I do decide to do a front axle swap. I'm just trying to determine if the JK 14 (GM axle) or the JK 10.5 (Ford Axle) is the better path to pursue.

My take as well.

I haven't put shit besides what wears out on my front 30. I'm saving for 60s. Most likely fusion axles.

The cost of wheels, tires and axles all at once is the plan.
