Bummin hard...
So I finally got everthing together and started installing this weekend. The body lift went on fine. The front suspension went on okay after some minor mods to the bumper, but when we got to the back it was problem after problem!! First, we had to add an adjustable track bar beecause the tires were hitting the control arms. Once we got the track bar on, we realized that tire itself is literally less than an inch away from the track bar. AND to start it all off, we misplaced the stock coil isolators when we did the budget boost last fall. We decided to take it for a test drive which was the shortest test drive in history as we actually had to give it gas to get the tire lugs over the track bar!!
Needless to say, it looks kick ass, I just gotta get new wheels. So close!!!

Are you running wheel spacers? If not, they might give you the extra clearance you need to keep the tires from rubbing. Spidertrax seems to be the preferred brand out there.
Sounds like you are close to having one bad @ss Jeep. Post pics if you get a chance.

No and I don't think I want only because I don't want the risk of bending an axle which I hear can be pretty common with spacers. The problem is the tires are currently on stock JK X rims which are not offset at all and the backspacing needs a bit more. I really only need about 3/4 inch anyway and the half inch spacer won't be enough and the 1.5 spacer will be too much. If that's not enough, for the $$ I'm gonna pay for two spacers, I can get some pretty cool aftermarket rims ya know....
I will get pics up when it is done which should be tomorrow!! We are doing the rear suspension lift tonight!

Sounds like your getting close. Not trying to be rude, but it doesn't sound like you ran into problems as much as you failed to plan it all out. If your running the stock X wheels you definitley need to consider a set of spacers, either spidertrax or teraflex. 1.5" on either side won't be to much as stated above, trust me. You will probably actually enjoy the look and more sure footed feel. Sounds like it is about to be a badass JK, just do those last few things to get it all in order
No I planned it out right, I just misunderstood, rather I ASSumed and I should have clarified. I bought the tires and rims from a guy who took them off a 2-door JK and again ASSumed he was talking about the front.
greenamphib: I agree with what you are saying however I would rather check 20 lugnuts for tightness than 40!!
