Default Bump steer??

I'm running 285s new rubicon shocks and 1 3\4 spacer in front. So not much mods. Feels like I have bump steer and on freeway slight wandering. I can let go of the steering wheel and it'll drive straight but just constantly correcting steering in the freeway. And going slow my steering wheel shack back n forth. Not deathwobble. Had the alignment done and tires balanced. Can't remember when it started. Handling has always been bad and got better when I replaced the shocks. Suggestions?

Would a beefier adjustable track bar fix this?

I don't think beefier track bar is the answer here. Sounds like something is worn in your steering.

Constantly correcting while highway driving? Like so much so that if you didn't you'd end up in a ditch?

For me that's how it was after my last wheeling trip. Turned out I bent the tie rod. So replaced it and still same issue. Ended up being my toe-in was incorrect. After wife and I adjusted it, no more wandering and constantly having to correct.

As far as bump steer goes, I got nothing.

4in and 37s. I just correct my last post too. I meant to say after wife and I adjusted the toe-in we fixed the wandering issue .

1 3/4" in front is enough to throw the castor off a little. It makes the steering flighty and keeps you busier behind the wheel.

It can feel sorta similar if the toe-in is off.

Go to an alignment shop and have them check the alignment. Then you know for sure what you have.

So if the spacer is messing with the castor would the AEV's front control arm relocation brackets solve it?

If you have enough lift to throw the castor off then brackets will correct it. So will adjustable control arms. It would be good to know your castor angle first. Is it printed on the alignment receipt?

The wheel wobble could be worn steering or a loose shock mount.

Hard to know for sure what is going on without driving the Jeep.
