Default Bump stop

I have a 2010 jk islander. I want to up grade to 2.5 max travel RK with fox shocks. The tires are 285 BFG ko2 , measure about 33". My question is should I change the bump stops and what would work with this set up

If you go flat fenders you would need hardly any bump stop at all.

Check for clearance on track bar when stuffed, maybe only need an inch on the bottom.

I just happen to be starting to install the Mopar 2in lift which is actually a 2.5in lift and happen to have those bump stops in hand, so it was easy for me to measure.

Front lower bump stops= 1 15/16in
Rear lower bump stops= 1 7/8in

Based off of that, I would say 2in lower bump stops front and rear should be good.

Measure before you blindly purchase shocks.

If you intend to go off-road and wheel it hard then be aware that those fox shocks will, at full articulation, lean against the frame to where you can see they are physically bending. Front, lower shock mount relocation brackets will fix that but they also eat up 1-1.5" of uptravel.

Thank you the info. I wasn't planning on fender change at this time, maybe I the future . Two inches looks like it should do the trick

Measure your up travel vs the collapsed length of the new shocks. I'd be more concerned of bottoming out the shocks than stuffing that 33 into the fender. After checking tire clearances setup your bump stops to be at full contact before the shock is fully collapsed.
