Bump Stop
Jk 2 Dr with 3 inch lift. still stock 32 inch bf goodrich stock on Rubicon. what length bump stop should I install, the stock is too short, front spring compressed fully and two plus inchs before its touch the stock bump stop. a close measurement will be fine

That "rule of thumb" is way WAY too conservative.
That link is a good one to read, but skip to my summary at the end so your head doesn't explode.
We had a lot of opinions, but only a few facts.

If it compressed fully, where did the two more inches plus come from?
If the coil is stacked, so that all the coils are touching, so its like a solid metal tube, THAT's fully compressed...its hard to compress after its a solid tube if you know what I mean....unless it then bows out to one side, so your "tube" is now a elbow shape, etc...
Can you explain this a bit more?
