Bump stop space
There is no correct amount. See points below.
1. Bump stop is what sets tire clearance, NOT lift height
2. The bump stop is what stops uptravel of the axle
3. You want to set the bump stop so that you maximize uptravel, but don't have any interference (e.g. tire hitting the fender, drag link hitting the frame, etc).
4. The space in between will vary by set up. Let's say there are two identical Jeeps. One has a 1" spacer in the coil for lift, the other doesn't. All else being the same, the one with the spacer will have 1" more space. They both have the same total travel. The one with the spacer will have 1" more uptravel, but 1" less down travel.
