Default bump stops supporting bumper

put a heavy ass bumper on recently and to compensate for the weight I ordered larger coils for the front, but I just noticed that the bump stops are now supporting the weight in the front. how bad is this and how urgent is it that i install the new coils

That must be a really heavy bumper!!!! Do you have any pics? It must be a really harsh ride.

I'm guessing its a stock JK

I wheeled with a guy at Jkfest with a powerplant and new front bumper. He was basically on his bump stops

There was a post/pic a few days ago - something like 3 inches of coil lift with 5 inches of extended bumpstops. And he was wondering why the post lift ride was so harsh. Go figure...

Get a TJ front spring and it will fix your problem. Usually you can pick these up for less than $50, so you will still be under the cost of any aftermarket spring.
