Default Bumper Difference...help

I'm going to be replacing my stock front bumper soon and have it narrowed down to the Rancho or Expedition One's Basic (a winchmount that doubles as a bumper). I dont want to go cheap because I know you typically get what you pay for but once I add the winch (Smittybilt XRC8) the Rancho setup (with winchplate) will run about $750, still very reasonable, but the Expedition One will run only $420ish.

My question is is there really $300+ worth of a difference between the two...I don't want to be cheap but, like with everyone, money is an issue.

Thanks in advance.

rancho is more of a bumper, the E1 is more of a frame rail cover
