Bumper and winch or gears
I turned the OD off even with the stock tires and after getting a flashpaq. Maybe they should have programmed the OD to not try to engage at 28 mph.....or at least allow it to come OUT of OD without having to put the pedal to the floor.
Unless you're sitting on the cash NOW, I would drive the jeep for a while and decide how bad you don't like the gearing.

Only programmer for the 2011 is the Procal, which I used to calibrate the speedo.
Some of the logic used in these gearing threads is not always unanimous. Heck, I regeared on stock tires. Were it me, i would regear, but we live in totally different enviroments. I carry an 8000lb come-a-long that works as well as a winch, just slower.
Option 1:
Do you have a 2" reciever for a tow pack?
You could get another mounted in the front or just use it on the back.
Then get just a winch and a mount for it that would fit you 2" reciever wire it up with anderson plugs front and rear and then you could winch out forwards or backwards.
Then you could probably afford gears too.
Option 2:
Get a winch mount tray and cut it into your stock bumper
Then you could afford gears too and just grab a front bar later.
No it isn't as pretty as a new bar and yes i'm sure someone on here has done it.
Option 3:
Grab yourself a hand winch or highlift jack with a winch kit.
And re gear.
I know that hand winching is not easy and takes time (this time can be used to ponder what you did wrong to make you winch) however it gives you the security blanket and after using it a few times you get to know your driving limits.
Then get the power winch later.
I personally have just done option 3. But i didn't need to regear and the winch is being installed next week.

Has anyone really ever used a come-along for more than 10 feet...???
