Default Bumpers or lift 1st

I'm new to the forum , this is my second jeep , I never did anything to my old jeep because it already had everything . My question is ,,, based on everyones experience would you do bumpers 1st or a lift 1st ? I've done some minor mods already just trying to get some input . Thanks

Lift it first then do your bumpers.

Welcome to the forum...I've done quite a few mods to include a TF 2.5" BB and have yet to get a bumper. It all depends on what type of wheeling you are doing and your needs in general. For me, a bumper is on the short list, but always seems to get pushed back because of another mod lol.... I would say lift first if you plan on wheeling your JK.... That's just my .2

i would do your bumpers first. simply because it will allow you to judge how much sag your are gonna get and then compensate with the right lift kit.

Thanks for the quick responses , I was thinking of the teraflex 2.5 coil lift with bilstien shocks or the 2" OME lift? But then again most of my playing is in a mud hole at the deer lease and that's where I was thinking of a bumper with a winch , (been stuck twice ) , thanks for the input , I have a couple months to decide ,saving money.

I'd do a lift first. I've got a 2 1/2 terraflex coil lift on mine + a RR bumper. After wheeling today, the bumper didn't do anything but the lift sure save a lot of scraping. After the lift, then go with some rock rails.

I am leaning more towards the lift , is there anything I need with the lift , or just install and go? I will need some sort of step too , my wife already has trouble getting in, I was thinking the body armor steps with the TF 2.5 coil.

I did the bumpers first - then measured the amount of drop. This helped in deciding the amount of lift needed to compensate for the additional weight and get clearance for 35's. ( had added heavy rear with tire carrier and heavy front, skid plates, winch and lights - all that stuff adds up.

Went with OME with heavy duty springs - rides great!

Is the OME lift 2" ? How's the install ? Anything else needed ? I've heard they are more like 3" , but also hear that the ride is awesome.

The kit should come with it, but if not, you will need brake line relocate brackets. Also, I would invest in JKS quicker disconnects or TF discos. Either that, or you will need to find a pair of rear sway bar links to run in the front. The front stock links will not be long enough when the lift goes on. Like I said, leave your rear links and invest in some disco's for the front.......
