I'm happy with my choice of JCR. After months and months of debating, I settled on the stubby dagger series because of the look, light weight, kept factory fogs, and the price was right.

The pics look great and the information is very helpful, especially about the weight. Mine will be a DD and I never thought about the weight. But one thing I like is full width because it fills in more. I like the flow from the bumper to the fender. Will the full width cause any issues for off roading?

love my pavement ends front, affordable and very stout! Jeep rolled 50 ft down my driveway into a pine tree, took a chunk out of the tree, not even a scratch to the bumper. Only catch is the OE plastic frame cover looks funky, so I replaced it with Warrior Products steel frame cover for a perfect match! Rear is e-auto grilles from ebay, very nice and strong as wellClick image for larger version

I run the Olympic 4x4 BOA front bumper. It turns alot of heads, and it compliments the green teeth. It was a good price and gave me the ability to upgrade to a winch if I wanted to. As you can see in the pic you can zip tie your license plate (LP) to the tubes to either side. But the photo also shows another way, you see the 2ID plate in the center? With a simple man-handling you can mount it in side the tubes with no hardware. I like this bumper because you can run your stock fog light. You can also upgrade this bumper with d-ring mounts for $50, and run your stock fog lights with a winch for another $30. I have heard that the rubicon black tends to flake and rust. No rust or flake on mine, but I dont run into things and scratch it up. The gloss black has had better reviews.

The only problem I have had is the space between the tubes and grill. You can see through it too the ground, granted this is where you would mount a winch. Doesnt look to clean from that angle. But, I am just going to Fab up something to cover the frame rails and give it a finished look.

I hoped this helped

If you want a winch bumper for cheap that looks good and wont weigh you down try looking at the Hybrid Stubby by Rough Country. Its very inexpensive and light weight and the looks are great. Plus if you have the skills or the materials you can mod it how you see fit, with stingers or bull bars and what not. Theres a huge thread on this forum for it. I got mine and now im jsut waiting on the winch to put in it.

My philosophy is. If your going to get a front bumper, you might as well get a back bumper to boot. Because you can see what is in front of you, you can't always see what's behind you. Check out OR-FAB, I have their plate steel rear bumper, (solid as a rock). They also make a tube rear bumper if you are going for that pre-runner look.

The Rough Country Hybrid Stubby Bumper, looks almost identical to the Expedition One Basic DX. I've never seen these in person as I have been away on business since its release. But I have noted that these bumpers are always photographed at a slight upward angle, I guess to make them look better.

Definately check out eautogrilles through ebay. Different style of bumpers at great prices and very stout!
