Default Bushwacker flat flares... 9.5" of extra coverage ?

The bushwacker website claims that the Flat flares have 9.5" of additional coverage, and the pocket flares have 2". Somehow that doesn't seem correct.

The Xenon flares are 1.5" wider than stock, which isn't enough.

My tires stick out a fair amount (12.5" wide on a 4" b.s. wheel). I have the factory flares that I have trimmed. I get mud all over the sides, and it makes opening the doors a pain since the mud collects on the door handles.

What flares offer lots of coverage but lots of clearance ? I want to run a 37" tire with only 3.25" of lift. Also might add some sort of front mud flap for additional protection.

I'm in the same predicament. I'm looking for a flat style fender with 2" additional tire coverage. I think the bushwacker website has misprint. The flat style provides 9.5" of tire coverage which is like stock ( measure from the edge of jeep to edge of fender and you'll get about 9.5"). The pockets add 2" to this.

From what I can tell and researched, the xenons are the only ones that go wider than stock.

Some members here don't give the xenon's good reviews so I reluctant to buy them.

Just measured stock. Right around 9.5", then I measured my trimmed ones which sit at 9".

If the Pocket flares measure 11.5" then that would be just about right, however, do they allow for additional clearance similar to a flat flare ?

My Iroks stick out less than 2" on each side with the bushwacker flatties, they were easy to instal too. I think planman is runnin 40's with flats and like 3.5" lift
