those parts are all plastic, cant see them providing much protection. Check out AEV's corners

x2.

I almost fell for the "rocker panel protector" myself, then I saw the price, closeup pics, and fine print.

I also saw first hand the fender flares and rear corner guards just yesterday on another JK. They are plastic

I almost fell for it aswell..if you just want the "look" then go for it but I doubt the plastic will provide any additional protection

Anybody know of any type of covering for painted surfaces to protect from brush damage. Out here we call it Arizona pinstripes. I have plenty already but would like to slow down the damage.

3M makes a clear bra for the front. I dont know how they sell it but im sure you could rig it to the sides. Also, you could invest in a body wrap but they are expensive and will tear over time and abuse. Kinda costly but it would save the paint to some extent

Default just installed

i just installed the very expensive plastic armor, front hood, rear tailgate, drivers side rocker. I installed to keep chips down to protect the paint, not to protect against actual rocks on the trail. ( will add rr side armor this spring) The parts are very expensive but well made for what they are. Seems to be made out of same material as plastic bumpers so they match well to stock bumper and side steps. The hood protector looks great, the tail protector does not go over the lip, it just sticks to the outside. I added some door trim over the lip for better protection. The side armor fits well but not perfect. I had to drill the plastic a bit to fit one of the four screw holes and the back seems to be slightly off in fit, leaving a little gap for water to leak into. Hopefully I will have a better fit in passenger side. Had to remove factory steps to add side armor. But Put them back on over the armor and all fits well. Takes a bit over an hour to install sides. Will show some pics when I get home tonight. Overall I am happy but know these are mostly cosmetic.

I got the bushwacker flat fenders and I am very happy with them, before I mounted them they did not look as wide as the stock fenders. After mounting, they are just as wide and way more solid even though they are plastic.

I was looking to get this with some new rockers, but had some questions. Does the side armor cover the messy looking sheet metal at the bottom. You know the pinch seam and the part that the steps cover? Better yet, can we get a picture of the side with the armor?
That would be greatly appreciated,
Jackson
