Default bushwacker vs. xenon size-wise

Which flat or hi-clearance flares are smaller? As in which cover less of the tire? Thanks

Xenon makes flat fenders that are 1.5" narrower than stock.

They also make a set, along with Bushwacker, that are 1.5" wider than stock; it is my understanding that neither has an offering that matches the stock width.

yeah, Xenon makes flat flares that are either 1.5" narrower or 1.5" wider than stock.

Install wasn't bad just take your time I did mine by myself in about 4 hrs hardest part was the liners and the body pieces that the fender slides on to..but overall look after very very happy..

I got the bushwackers as well after hearing that the xenons sag after a while in the sun and heat. My bushwackers have a small fitment problem on the front passenger side (1/8th inch gap between flare and fender up front by the grill) but they are working on that now. They also shorted me a bolt and a few clips but rushed me a whole new mounting kit. They look great, the install is very easy. took me 3 hours or so to do 3 flares and 2 of those hours were spent figuring the first one out Easy stuff.

I do not yet own the Xenon flares, but I've been told on the boards 1) the sag problems were with the "wider than OEM" flares; and 2) Xenon has since corrected the issue w/ included brace supports...

I suppose mileage may vary...

Are the Bushwackers the same size as OEM? I was under the impression that they only came wider like the Xenons.

I'm wanting to pull the trigger on either the Xenons (1.5" narrows) or Bushwackers. What has me leaning towards the Xenons is the width, although I'd reconsider the Bushwackers if they matched OEM.

Decisions, decisions!

P.S. bcboy1969: What rock rails are you running? They look great on your rig!

The bushwackers look very similar in width compared to the oem even if they are a little wider. Ive still got one stock front on and one bushwacker front on so ill snap you some pictures tomorow and post them on wednesday if youd like. Im a big fam of the texture on the bushwackers and once they are on they are pretty solid. I can rock my rig back and forth pushing on nothing but the flare.

Looks great, thanks for posting the pics... Was thinking would do the install myself as well. I too have a Rubi unlimted with a TF leveling kit and want to run Toyo 34's once I install the flat flares. What did you use to cut the pinch seams? I will have to cut my pinch seams and my OEM rubi rock rails to be happy with the 34's clearance. Thanks again and your rig looks awesome!!
