Default Busted Stabilizer..

Well just got home from the rents for xmas blah blah..went out for some night trails, completely trashed the steering stabilizer..i have the teraflex one on order from quadratec but my question is how dangerous is it if i continue to drive until it gets here..i mean the steering wheel is "loose" almost effortless to turn...and will this induce a death wobble, not just shimmy from bumps but a full on death wobble? i dont want to break anything else

you can bend and/or break steering components if you death wobble gets serious. If you keep in under 25, there should not be an issue. If you have to drive it, go to the local auto part store and get a cheap one. It would also serve as a back up when off roading.

pull off your SS and examine the trackbar/SS mount at the axle carefully for any signs of fatigue or cracks - it is not uncommon for this to occur after taking a good hit to your SS. also, check your toe to make sure that your tie-rod didn't get suffer a beating as well. if it did, re-adjust it back to where it needs to be (about 1/16" toe-in). double check your track bar bolts and make sure they are tightend to 125 ft. lbs. of torque and if everything else checks out, you shouldn't have any problems driving your jeep without the SS installed and you should not have any DW.
