Default Buying a used winch

Alright please let me know what you guys think. Ive been looking for a winch for a while, i had one on my tj and it was worth its weight in gold in some situations, but now i need one for the jku.
I found an ad for a used warn 9.5ti and contacted the guy. Im going to look at it later this afternoon but thought id get a second opinion, his asking price is 750.

For much less you can get an Engo 10000 brand new and not worry about the used winch having been abused or have any problems. A couple friends of mine had to rebuild their Warn they bought used and they end-up spending more than buying them new.

Looks decent. Ask him to have it hooked to a battery and operate it. I bought my PowerPlant HD used and that's what I did. Also nice that yours comes with synthetic. Make sure to unspool the line and inspect that, too.

Thanks for the advice! I personally wouldnt have thought to unspool to inspect the synthetic rope.
