Default c gusset & track bar braces

So I'm getting ready for new tires (thinking 35's) & I'm trying to plan/budget/strategize the next stages of the build (possibly tire carrier or regearing etc depending on tire size).

Recently c gussets & track bar braces have come on my radar.

I've read a couple threads on c gussets & track bar braces but I need to know how much of a priority they should be.

Before even getting into brands (btw I was looking at the EVO c gussets & JKS trackbar braces) what can you tell me?

Should I have them installed them ASAP?

Would it make $ense to install them simultaneously?

You shouldn't need a trackbar brace unless you are running 4" or more of lift (thats just my opinion). As for the C gussets it really depends on how hard you wheel. If you go hard or moderate often then they are pretty cheap insurance. If you just like the lifted look but dont go off road often or very hard you will be fine without them.

Curious what you are basing your opinion off of? Track bar brackets are breaking off with lifts under 4", some with no lift. You might want to re-think that.

The C gussets are more of a necessity if you're going to run 35's. The track bar brace is a good thing to have done. If you're having the C's done and the brace requires welding, you may as well do it at the same time.

X2, get them both before you start bending your front axle and tearing off brackets

I am basing it off the fact that I have wheeled with dozens of JK's and met several hundred if not thousands of others through the forum here and have only heard of a handful of cases where they have broken off. No doubt it is an issue, usually associated with hard wheeling or death wobble, but in reality how many people have actualy broke them? Maybe a few hundred JK's of the tens of thousands sold. Again most were also associated with other circumstances that put much higher stresses on the brackets.

I agree with just getting the c gussetts and the track bar brace done. I did mine and you know I am just running 33s (for right now) I getting the TB brace done is just being proactive. I put the BDS brace on it was just 25.00 for it.

The front TB brace should go on first.
I assure you there are more than a couple hundred cases of broken TB brackets.
If it breaks at highway speeds, its game over.
The resulting death wobble can shoot you into on comming traffic (me).
It will more than likely damage the 2 front shocks too.
It may only be an insurance policy, but its the policy I would buy first.
my 2 cents...

I do know for a fact that stock JK's are ripping off the trackbar bracket. I think that should be a higher priority for everyone

Get those C Gussetts on 'before' the 35s......I had to replace my entire front Dana 44 because I did not do this. Oh, and all I did was put them on and drive for about 10 miles (not even offraod). Many people run them (35s) without C Gussetts and never have a problem, but I did.
