Looking at some cold air intakes...which one is the best and easily installed? I know there are some older threads on this subject, but I would like to get some fresh ideas...

I think you will find that most members on the forum either love or hate CAI intakes. So maybe your question should be, of those folks that have CAI intakes which did you install and would you recommend it. Just trying to help out.

I just installed a Banks in my '07. Easy to install and it gives off a nice growl when you get on it. But I really liked the set up, the filter is pretty well protected from dirt and mud.

With the JK AND A CAI, Anthing over 1' of watter AND 5 MPH needs to be a snorkel. Open intakes (not stock) will splash water into the intake in relatively shallow water if you are not going very slow. Been there, done that.

Unless you need a snorkel invest your money somewhere else such as, bump stops, up grade tires, Spiderweb shade top, superchips, hell new valve caps for your tires. Not worth the money for some more noise and worries that you may hydro lock your jeep. If you have some money to burn email me and you can send that money to me so I can do some upgrades
