Sounds great, more throttle response. You won't hydrolock unless you are being a dumbass. Been in mud puddles so deep that it tried to seep in through my door seal, no problems whatsoever.

Pre-filter will help you out with this! Run a Pre-filter on my AFE Stage2 CAI on my Ram 3500 CTD....no issue with dust getting into the intake tube and you get longer cleaning intervals because of the pre-filter...costs maybe $15.

pfft.
Rule of thumb, don't bite off more than you (or your Jeep in this instance) can chew. People that hydrolock bit off more than they could chew... Also, Airaid CAI's have heat shields that keep heat and debris away from the filter. So unless you dive into a puddle that's as deep as your headlight, you shouldnt have any problems

Or as long as you don't drive fast through deep standing water to try to look cool.

it really is going to depend on how you wheel your jeep. I hate mud and water like i said. I dont go fast and i dont go deep. To much time to clean mud. CAI should not be a problem at all. But if youdo alot of water and alot of mud then you should get a snorkel.

Drop-in K&N and an AEV ram-air snorkel, more power thana cai and no worries.
