Called RC and they said "dont do it"
I put a RC 2.5 lift on my jeep, I was looking on a web site for some 315/75/16 tires and wheels found something I wanted so called. I was talking to the guy on the phone about tire sizes he asked what lift do I have so I told him. he said "he wouldnt go with 35's they wont fit" so i hung up and called RC, talk to a guy on the phone, told him what lift I got and he told me the same thing. "Not recommened you will have all kinds of rubbing" I told him i was planning on trimming the pinch seam. He still said dont do it. Any one have any problems with this? It has took me 2 months to figure out what tires and wheels I want now I hear I well have problems. I did do a search people say trim the seams and you will be fine. Can any one help me on this? Thanks
What wheel/tire place did you talk to and what is the backspacing on the wheels you want? It could be a BS issue and not a lift issue. I know people running 35's with very minimal lift.
I would love to deal with discount tire direct but they dont have the tires I am wanting.

4.5 is fine. Mine are 4.25". I ran the TF 2.5" lift for two years with no issues. I don't see how on earth anyone can say that you will have issues. Perhaps RC is only legally allowed to say 33's with their lift.
On a 4x4 wedsite where my wife ordered it for me says 35'S with min. rubbing. I can understand min rubbing but "dont do it" to me thats two differnt things.

Just get bumpstops if you see any rubbing. Or trim your flares. Only way extreme articulation will occur is if you disconnect but not sure if your kit even came with quick disconnects. If not, it's a pain to remove sway links.

I run 315/70/17 stock rims not wheel spacers and a 2 inch rancho lift that only nets 1 inch in the rear. Yea it rubs a little but that's because my rims don't have enough back spacing. I do go off road and am always trying to park on to of stuff and never rub on anything (going straight) I would not do crazy flexing untell you get some after market fenders or trim your. I just keep my links connected and I am all set.
One more thing....I actually get rubbing withy 35's and 3.5" lift. My Rock Krawler lifts have crazy travel and I either need to adjust my bumpstops, or the more likely scenario, trim my flares. Not sure the "flexy" Rough Country is but I think you will be ok.
