Can anyone explain the logic behind breaking this rear diff??

Not sure I buy the pinon nut story... bet she just forgot to switch into 4wd... but in that second video I can believe she isn't in 4 wheel drive... if she was really gassing it hard on the way down the front tires would have been spinning when it came off the ground if she was in 4wd.

As far as why the diff gernaded on that hill... based on the other videos, she had been abusing it pretty hard all day and that was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

i have a 2012 sahara similar setup and just my 2 cents. i have blown the tranny out of mine at 20k in a mud hole and front axle blew out at 23k. both of which happened when i was (generous) with the throttle. these rigs with stock parts like that are just not built to go hard like that. they need to be built up more. especially since shes lifted on a cheap jeep rear diff. now if it were a RUBI different story....
