Default Can anyone recommend G2 gears?

I am intersted in regearing my 2011 JKU Rubicon w/AT. I will be running 35's and was wondering if anyone can recommend the G2 gears?

I have read a lot about gear sizing and I am trying to decide between 5.13 and 5.38. I do light to moderate wheeling and will never go to 37's. Any advice on this would be appreciated as well.

Thanks!!

If you have a Rubi, I would consider 5.38's. I literally just got 5.13's put in, and with 33'' tires, I love it. The power feels just right. No MPG readings yet, but I'll make a thread friday with my results of a 350 mile interstate trip.

I put 5.13 in my rubicon. Running stock tires i get 14 in town and 17.5 highway( im running a superchips programmer in tow mode). My father in law has 5.13 with 35s. He has a 4" lift roof rack with roof top tent, heavy warn bumpers and winch..he gets 10 in town and 14.xx on the highway. If i had to do it over i would have went strait to 5.38s and be done with it..that's just because of my driving habits! Hope this helps out

G2 gears are getting positive reviews. If the price and warranty look good to you, go for it.

I am one of the growing number of people that went to 5.13's, only to pull them out and move to 5.38's. Once you go taller than stock tires, you can't really over-gear these JK auto's. Anyway, you'll be happy with 5.13's, but just might be happier with 5.38. Depends on you...

Post #33 in this one has some good info. Note the rwhp numbers.

I have had G2 gears for over 2 years now and they are great.

They have been through wheeling once or twice a month on trails from 2 to 3.5 on a 5 scale. I don't have lockers so I sometimes have to go a little heavy on the skinny pedal when I really shouldn't. There are a lot of rocks out here so a lot of my offroading has been on rocks.

Other than my fox shocks the gears were the best investment Ive made so far. And I'm running 37. And glad I didn't go with 538.
KevlarJK,

I PM'd you... definitely looking for a good recommendation on gears and installer.
