Default Can I add lift ????

I have a 2008 Unlimited that I had put the Rough Country 2.5 in spacer lift on and Im looking to go a little bit more.. My question is, can I add a 2.5 in spring lift (which include springs and shocks) to the 2.5 spacer lift for a total of 5" OR should I just take off the spacer lift and spend the extra money and just purchase a 4" lift kit?? It's all for looks and NOT used off-road (I know, I know, don't yell) I don't need tons of flexibility I just want great on-road manners.. Thanks!

You can most certainly add a 2.5 inch spring lift. I'd check out OME. Good luck

2.5" coils on top of 2.5" spacers is kind of pushing it. You'd have to buy different links and brackets for everything because all the stuff you get in each 2.5" kit is only for that specific height that each kit provides, they're not made for 5".

I'd say just get a RC 4" kit, fairly cheap and easy install...

Shocks that were sized for a 2.5" lift would probably be way too short for 5" of lift.

Hi just got a jk 2 door 2012 model am 1st time user of JK I do desert(not extreme) say 5% and rest use daily for office. I want a 2" lift so I can put cooper 33". Qs will it be very bumpy while on road or will it handle better. The agent says I have to lift from them or they close warranty and they charge 3000/-$ here in Dubai. Rough country from local guys cost 1200/- only and there is another guy says don't remove new shocks as they are good just put springs and get your lift for 300/- as original shocks better than rough country and don't waste money. Tell me does this make sense.

Don't forget about ur driveshafts though. 4" is from what I've heard, the most you want to go and push stock drive shafts

Buy the rock krawler 3.5 lift and be done with it. I wouldn't run a 2.5 spacer lift by its self

I'd say a coil lift is your best bet. Whether its bumpy or not depends on what you go with. Your shocks are entirely your decision. Some keep stock shocks when adding a small lift because the shock haven't been used much, but if your jeep has seen a bit of mileage I'd suggest upgrading those. You said they'd charge $3000, is that for a lift install, cuz that s ridiculous...?

Sorry for the temporary thread jack chase. But another thing jeepster831 said above is a good point. A new rear driveshaft is needed at 4" of lift usually, front is when it's around 5" or up..
