Can I get a replacement part for the front drive u-joint?
The typical issue is that the boot protecting the CV joint at the transfer case end rips, allows grease to spew out (you see a line on the underside of your tub), the joint dries out and starts clicking, signallying a soon death. you can replace that joint with the TF high angle CV, or you can replace the driveshaft as a whole unit, which is what most people do. If you replace the whole unit, you can get one that bolts to the factory pinion flange, or you can get one that comes with a new yoke. I'd highly suggest most people get one that bolts to the factory flange. There is no need to open any possibility of issue removing the pinion nut to install a yoke unless necessary.
