Default Can I use washers as temp wheel spacers solution?

Guys, I am doing my 2.5" TF lift kit now. However, I am getting my new wheels and tires package in few days. Question, can I get away with using two thick washers per wheel stud as a temporary (for few days) solution to substitute wheel spacers?

I wouldn't...the cheap spacers they sell at the parts store would be safer

Bad idea. Instead just be careful when turning to full steering lock.

If u have stock wheels and tires and run the brake line brackets and sway bar links on the correct side with the bolts going the right way you dont need spacers to drive. Only when going bigger tires do u need the spacers. I ran my stock wheels and tires for three months, on and off road with the TF 2.5 lift with no problems.

That is exactly what I was hoping for, to get away without spacers for the few days with stock wheels and tires until I get new wheels/tires package. However, I installed TF in the rear last night and as soon as I took it out of the garage I noticed metal on metal rubbing sound. It was too late to investigate what is rubbing, but I will be doing it in the next 15 min.

Don't skimp... Is $150. Bucks worth you or your passengers lives... If that wheel came off at high way speed....yikes.

Put a WTB post in the classifieds... You will find a set of spider trax spacer in no time. I got mine second hand off the forum. Good luck.

Put your stock rear links back on until the new wheels/tires get there.

This is not always true, op please don't listen to this! It may have been true for Feasterdef but myself and many others had severe rubbing with stock wheels. My links knocked a weight off my rear wheel and scratched the wheels themselves when the suspension flexed driving on the street... over a speedbump! And this is after I flipped the links to the inside and had the bolts the right way. Any serious flexing and I might have punctured a sidewall.

ive installed a few different kits with stock wheels and tires. as long as you put the rear links with the bolts pointing inwards, you should be good.
