Default Can sway bar links cause problems with EPS?

I've been having an issue with my 08 JKU that has my dealer stumped. When I go over a rough patch in the road (like bad pavement or the transitions from road to bridge) my engine RPMs can drop and if it's hard enough, my EPS and check engine light will come on. The dealer has replaced both the crank shaft position sensor and the cam shaft position sensor thinking that was the cause. However it's still not fixed. So I was wondering....

Back in the spring I bought the Teraflex sway bar quick disconnects for 0-3" lift since I don't currently have a lift (though I will be getting one soon.) The quick discos are quite a bit longer than the stock links but Teraflex said they would work fine. With the quick discos on, my sway bar tilts up slightly above horizontal at rest. Is there any chance this could be causing issues with my traction control and causing my problems?

If you put the original links back does the problem go away?

Check for pinched esp wires by the rear sway links. One of my lines got pinched between the link and axle and was doing similar.

That's how mine looks. I have the same links with my leveling kit. I highly doubt that's the issue.

My suggestion for you to debug this one is doing one step at a time.

1) replace the links by the original ones and check

Did problem go away?

If yes, check the wiring or anything that seems to be connected to the sway bar.

If no, then it's not the new links.

Go from there. ;-)

No, not a chance.

Is your steering wheel centered

U prolly have a wire or sensor failing at one of the four wheels. When u flex hard alot the wires can only stretch so much before u start getting intermittent failures. The jeep will see the failure as one wheel stopped turning and esp and traction control will slow the engine and try to dynamic brake to correct the skid that isnt really occuring. It may be flickering a signal that is so fast the brakes dont have time to respond before its over but the engine will always cut out. Good luck.
