Default Can you help settle an argument...

I have been arguing with myself for the last few weeks over this, and I refuse to lose another one. So I am going to throw this out to you all.

I want a basic 2 to 2 1/2 inch lift that will cause the least problems with driving and handling. I was last looking at the Tereflex 2 1/2 BB with shocks but have read that there is a problem with the extension bracket for the rear.

What is the best basic lift for my needs.....Thanks for saving me from losing another fight with myself.

What extension brakets are you refering to?

This is a great kit that comes very complete and is very affordable. And, in my experience using it in the past, had no problems with it.

EDIT: Looks like Piginajeep just beat me to the punch

We are running the tera 2.5 BB with shock adapter. 4000 miles on it and the east coast meet, no problems at all. I cant wait to get 35's though!

I was reading some posts that said the rear trackbar relocation brackets were breaking. Maybe there were brackets other than these that some were refering to.

Yes you probably have read about track bar relocation bracket problems, but you won't need one for the Tera 2.5 kit. Most people I believe don't use one. I know I don't and my rear axle may be slightly off center, but nobody would ever notice it is so slight.

I love the kit so far, it worked for me cause I wanted a quick, cheap lift until more spring lift kits come out, ie the Currie kit for one wasn't available back when I got my Tera.

The TeraFlex 2.5" BB does not come with a track bar relocation bracket as it is not needed

Get yourself some adjustable upper control arms while your at it... If not the jeeps all over the road.. Need to get your caster corrected.. It is drivable and most seem to just live with darty characteristics.. Not acceptable in my opinion... Yet can be easily be corrected...

Im not using a rear relocation bracket on ours, one doesnt come with the kit and its not really needed. However, if you do want to use one, the rear FRAME mounted ones are better, I dont think Ive heard of any problems with them. I think the only ones breaking were the AXLE mounted ones.

you better get that lift on before the next east coast ride!
