I'm up for new tires here real soon. I can't decide what to get.
Option 1 stock wheels 285/70 18.
I have1.75 wheel spacers already.
Option 2 get a set of 17 with 285/85 17.

Now I have been looking at rims and doing a lot of Google searching. I found a set that I like. The are steelies. The spec are: 17x8 4" back spacing and -12mm offset. Which the true back spacing would be 3.50. If I did my math right. Now with the 17 rim and the 285/75 17.
How far is my tire going to stick out pass the fender? Pics aways a plus. Thanks

 

Well did some digging and think I'm going to with Pro Comp Xtreme Rock Crawler Series 52 Steel Black Wheels 17x8 with the 285/75r17. I'm running stock 18s now with 1.75 spacer that gives me 4.50 backspacing with 265/70 18 they stick out that far so I think I will be good with these.

 

Yea 4.5 inch backspacing is normally the perfect mark without going extreme. I just bought some rugged ridge rims with 4.5 and -12 off set and it is day and night difference from my others with 5 inch, off coarse I'm running 37s, but here is a few pics of them
