Default can't decide...need help!

i can't decide on which lift!!!!!!!!!

so, im thinking either 2.5" TF Lift kit, for $430.99 on TF website, or the 2.5" with Shock adapters $409.99 also on TF website. But what about the budget boost? i see tons of people here with one...and i was wondering....

if i went with a coil lift, rather than a BB, would i be saving money in the long run? probably wont go any bigger than 35's, but i do know that the BB fits 35's. articulation wise, and flex and stuff, which one is better for the money? all your opinions are GREATLY appreciated. im torn between the 3 for now and im having trouble choosing between the 3.

(btw, on the TF website, the 2.5 lift with adapters costs less than the 2.5 lift with no adapters...but on northridge4x4.com the lift with adapters cost more than the lift with no adapters... why is that? typo somewhere? or am i looking at 2 different things?)

Your sig shows a 2.5" TF coil lift already

I'd go with either a (keyword "a") 2.5" or 3" coil lift kit, shop around brand wise before you decide on which to get. You'll get pleny of clearance for 35s at full flex, but some have minor rub still with 2.5". I'd recommend real shocks over adapters any day, especially on a non-Rubi model JK.

Buy the coil lift and save yourself the money of buying one later

Teraflex seems to be one of the best regarded 2.5" lifts for the JK, but I haven't heard too much bad about the rough country 2.5" coil lift either... and it's priced way more affordably. I think the TF with coils and shocks is close to $600.

For $329 you get the RC kit with coils and shocks... not just shock adapters. The shocks have built in bumpstops so although it looks like this is a benefit of the TF, you get it with RC also. The only things I would add to the RC (my plan) is the rear trackbar bracket (about $30 or so) and some brake line extension brackets (about $2 from RC if you mention you need them). If you wanted you could also add extended rear links for the rear swaybar (about $60 or so from QT for skyjacker). In any event, you can still get the RC coil and shock kit, with all the othe things I mentioned, for about the price of TF without shocks... or about $200 less than the TF with shocks.

Just my .02

I think you misread his sig. He does not have the 2.5" coil lift checked off. Looks like it is on his wish list.

Having said that, I would also go with the coil lift. I personally had a budget boost on my 07, and was happy with it, but decided to go with the coil lift on my new JK. I got the Teraflex 2.5" coil lift with shocks and have been happy on and off road. This decision was made ofter talking with many about the possibility of stock springs sagging over time with an aftermarket bumper and winch. I just saved the step of having to upgrade the suspension later when I added my bumper and winch. My .02.

Thumbs up

Coil lift =better ride and articulation. Myself, I went with the OME for various reasons.. look at other posts searches.. Nothing against TF though.

Look at it again, he's checking off his Mods as he goes

My advice get the 2.5" or 3" kit and be done.

Oh yea also budget into your build at least a front adjustable track bar, and possibly adjustable front control arms. I needed them both on mine to center the axle and get proper caster. I'm running the 2.5" with 35's and have no issues with rubbing.

I've had both the OME and TF, IMO the Tera rides better. Might be because the OME was on a 2 door, and TF is on my 4 door
