Default Cargo Net/Safari Straps

I have a 2010 4dr and I want to do a cargo net over the back. But it seems I will have to buy some door surrounds to make it work. Is this true or is there another brand that doesn't require the surrounds?

Thanks

if you have a hard top you have to buy the tailgate bar from a soft top, and also at least the rear door surrounds.

my buddy is dealing with this right now.

That sucks. Almost not worth it at that point.

ID:	397605I use Safari Straps on my 2dr, mainly for my dog, and to keep prying hands out when top is down. I love em!, no mods needed. They use tie down style straps that wrap around the roll bar. Sides, and back, only the top is open, but Safari Straps does have a add-on top piece I think.

But your roll bar comes down right where your door is correct? I have nothing right there to tie on to except for up top and at the body.

I don't know if yours is a four door, if the roll bars are configured differently than the 2dr. The 2dr has the roll bar right behind the front seat.

You don't need door surrounds for safari straps , they don't attach to the door surrounds they attach to the roll bars

My safari straps are for a 4dr. I have the straps that go from the rear bar, back. The tailgate bar is needed for the straps in the rear for correct installation. You CAN use them with out, but they won't be tight and will leave a gap, thus being able to reach in or something fly out. I need to run them without being attached to the tailgate bar when I have the soft top up w/rear window. If you don't have the door surrounds, there will be a small gap at the rear door, but nothing outrageous. Although, I have a friend that has safari straps on a 4dr w/out door surrounds and has a dog. His large dog can get in the gap between the door and the net. You can find a door surround kit on eBay for $100-$180. I know that kinda sucks, but I like the design over a lot of the others on the market. And I didn't have to buy surrounds.
