Default Cargo Rack or someting Else

Ok I have now come to a decsion again that I need to make. My dilema is deciding to get a crago rack or get something else. Pros of the cargo rack is you can always throw some stuff up there to go camping but they tend not to last very long in the weather and over time rust and look dindgy. Or should I go with something else. I have the OR Fab tire carrier that has the slots for the two fuel cans but most of my wheeling doesn't tak me far out into no mans land to where I have to worry about needing the extra 10 gals of gas. I have thought about Fabing one to hold 5 gals of water and the other for camping gear like a small stove or grill and other misc. stuff. any suggestions? comments or what not.

I have that carrier also. You can use the high liift bolt holes above the gas cans for a rack also. I believe that or-fab either has one or is working on one. The part number is in the instructions for the carrier. I am working on a cargo box for one of the gas can mounts also. It will be roughly the same size with a removable lid. A bolt will go through one side of the box into the existing hole in the carrier and only be accessible with the lid off. The trails around here are just too tight for a rack on top or my jeep.

that is true it does take some clearance away from the jeep but then I loose 10 mounts for lights 2 facing forward 2 facing out at about 45degree angle front and read and 1 facing out at a 90 on left and right sides. I will have the 4 mounted on the bumper and whatnot but that is mostly for driving I will loose alot os space to carry stuff and I have thought about getting a canoe in the future as well but I guess when that time comes I'll figure something out.and I guess you could say thats an over kill on lights but hey if you are where I am over here you can't stop theses guys from wanting more light and I don't blame them for wanting to see everything in front and on the sides of them on the roads over here. so I will save the 80-0 or so bucks and get something else. Now what could that go to??? HMMMmm
