I installed my TF LCA's to the specs in the sheet above, and IMO they are way too long. I think that spec sheet is meant to go by if you have all the control arms to install, not just LCA's. I damn near broke everything connected to the axle trying to pull it forward far enough to allow the lengths mentioned in the sheet above. I'm going to readjust to 23" eye to eye, which seems to be the consensus for a 3" lift...

I agree, the TF dimensions are too long. I too went with about 23", slightly longer on passenger side to accommodate for a slight driver side "pull". I tried to get to the TF dimension, but just couldn't get there. I'm very happy with the way my unlimited drives with this set up.

Do you think the slightly longer passenger side eliminated your pull to the right? Mine pulls right like a mofo, so I'm thinking the measurements are a part of it. I also need to adjust my toe-in, but cant get the damn knob to turn...

When you measure castor on your steering nuckels there is no way to get a acurate reading since there is no machined surface to stick a angle finder on. just look at your nuckles any difference from side to side will throw your angle finder way off. forgings or casting are never are perfect. that why they machine all the working surfaces.

I have a driver side pull so I made the driver side LCA longer, I may have worded that incorrectly before. I read on here, that the vehicle will pull to the side with the lesser amount of caster. The pull isn't totally gone, it is close though. My driver side LCA is 1/4" longer than the passenger.

Very interesting thread. Never heard of this before. I installed my LCA's with equal length and noticed a slight pull sometimes and thought it was my imagination or a low spot in the road that made it feel this way. But all it all, the Jeep drives true. I'll have to keep this post in mind next time I notice this feeling. I may need to adjust later.

I readjusted mine last night. Set the driver's side to 23" eye to eye, and the passenger side 23.25" eye to eye. It still has a slight pull to the right (passenger side), but not as bad as before. It definitely rides smoother than when I had the LCA's about .75" longer...

I still cant get the damn adjustment knob on the tie-rod to turn. Its frozen in place. Which is bad. The fronts of my front tires measure over 1/2" closer together than the rears of the front tires... Any ideas on getting that knob to turn? I've tried strap wrenches and channel locks...

Yeah i put some penetrating lube (heh...) on the threads last night, so hopefully it will soak in today. I'm gonna try again tonight with a big ass pipe wrench, so hopefully that will break it free.

when you adjust toe jack up front end to move adjuster. but take all your measurements with full weight on ground.
