Cat back vs. rear section?
Been searching for an exhaust and keep hearing about all these cat back systems but really is there a reason a rear section kit wouldn't accomplish the same thing with one less step? Digging on the mbrp or borla. If there is really a difference with full cat back though, I'd love to know what it is (not the obvious cat to axle section thanks)
IMO, the only real advantage a cat back system would have is if it relocated the muffler to a less vulnerable area like the MBRP offroad system does. OTOH, most of the tail section replacements have a smaller, less vulnerable, muffler.
Also, IMO, they're all ridiculously expensive for what you get. Any decent muffler shop should have a smaller free-flowing muffler in stock and should be able fab up a rear kit in less than a half hour for much less than any of the off the shelf kits.

I had my guys at the muffler shop take a standerd Flowmaster 40 Series and a Mandrel U - Cut the Mandrel U in Half, Center The 40 and suck it up tight into the muffler bay behind the hitch, it was super cheap and does the job not mention sounds great..
