Default CatBack and relocated muffler ?

Ok first i'm new to exhaust world.. I want a relocated muffler and I was looking for a catback exhaust.

Can I have both or maybe its the same thing ? I know that not every catback have a relocated muffler but what about relocated muffler... Can I have a relocated muffler AND catback in the same exhaust ?

Do you have some model or brand to recommend ?

Also... dont want my JK to sound like a Civic with a cherry bomb...

I have a MBRP off road muffler that relocates the muffler under the back seat. You can see their variations here: http://www.northridge4x4.com/products.php?cat=281

I'm very happy with my Cooltech muffler relocation kit (they call it a "cat back"). It is stainless steel and the muffler has a very effective heat shield. The floor never even gets warm. They use a Magnflow muffler that has a nice low note - not too loud. Even my 83-year-old mother-in-law said the Jeep sounds "nice". (Maybe that's a selling point, maybe not.)

The stock JK pipes are pretty good for the most part. No need to rip most of it out - just relocate.

I heard that the 2010 are a dfferent pipe than previous model... ?

Do I have to choose a catback with a relocated muffler built for 2010 or a 07+ will be ok ?

I haven't heard of an exhaust change for the 2010s, but if you give the manufacturer a call they should be able to tell you. You could also call what ever distributor/vendor you use and they should know too.

Its a great kit with a easy install, it even uses factory hangers without modification.

i 2nd MBRP--if you get the relocated version, you'll need the evap heat shield. i love mine--it's my top 2 or 3 mods.

the muffler is a cat back system..you the entire muffler all the way to tha catalytic converter is replaced.

plus MBRP is canadian..

Instead of a heat shield for the evap, I moved it over the axle using a relocation bracket.
